At the introduction day of my study I was really nervous and was looking admiringly to the final year students. I was thinking: “It will take so long before I will be in my last year and will do my graduation internship”. It sounds like a cliché, but the time has flown by. I will do my graduation internship at CGI and I also had my introduction day. During the day, I was really nervous as well. I would like to share my experience, stories and stress for my thesis with you guys. Therefore I have decided to take you along in my journey at CGI. So, this is the first blog about my introduction day.

Last Tuesday I travelled to the NBC Congress Centre in Nieuwegein for the first Women of CGI event of the year. The theme of this evening was around “Women in IT”. The room was full of women with a lot of energy. You would think there were only female colleagues, but no that wasn’t the case. A few male colleagues also joined this event which was really cool I think.

Girlsday 2019! Last Thursday technical- and IT companies opened their doors for young girls all around the country. Girlsday is meant to introduce the possibilities of the technical/IT work field to young girls. This year, my colleagues and I organized Girlsday at CGI for 36 enthusiastic girls. It was amazing to be part of it and to see the happy faces of the girls during the day.

Time flies when you have fun. It’s a cliche, but that’s the case for my graduation internship. I’m finished, I graduated for my study IT & Business. It feels very satisfying, but at the same time it feels weird.
